5 Highlights of the 2025 Toyota Tundra

1. Standard Twin-Turbo Power

The base 2025 Tundra SR model is powered by a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 358 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive with an automatic limited-slip differential. For more power, you can upgrade to a higher trim to unlock 389 hp and 479 lb-ft. If you want to maximize your fuel efficiency, there’s also a hybrid version, which makes 437 hp and 583 lb-ft and comes with part-time four-wheel drive.

2. Rugged Capability

For those who crave off-road thrills, the Tundra features engine and body undercovers to help protect your truck from rugged terrain. The base model offers 9.3 inches of ground clearance to help navigate over obstacles, and features an approach angle of 21 degrees and a departure angle of 24 degrees. If you’re a frequent trail explorer, the TRD Pro trim level offers full off-road equipment including a Multi-Terrain Select system, Crawl Control, an aluminum front skid plate, and more.

3. Towing Capacity

The base Tundra is rated to tow up to 8,300 lbs, which is ideal for lighter work hauling and recreation. If you have heavier trailer needs, the SR5 offers the maximum capacity of 12,000 lbs. All models come equipped with Trailer Sway Control to help maintain stability, and the SR5 and above include a Class-IV towing hitch receiver and an integrated trailer brake controller with a multi-information display.

4. Durable Cargo Bed

Depending on your hauling needs, you can equip your Tundra with the 6.5-foot standard bed, the 5.5-foot short bed, or the 8.1-foot long bed. All options feature aluminum-reinforced composite construction for reliable strength and durability.

5. Interior Storage

All Tundra models have excellent interior storage options that include four cupholders in the center console along with a large storage bin, which features illumination on certain models. There’s also an overhead console to conveniently store your sunglasses, and a rear under-seat storage compartment with adjustable partitions to help keep things organized, which can also be removed to stow larger items.
